Willow Marsh Fishery

Willow Marsh Fishery

Set in the beautiful Worcestershire Countryside, Willowmarsh is one of the prettiest fisheries in the Midlands. We work very hard to keep the fishery and fish in tip top condition so we would ask all visitors to respect that, adhere to the rules and enjoy the fishing and surroundings.

We have three lakes on the complex for matches and pleasure fisherman alike all surrounded by mature trees, water iris and especially willows hence the name. Now to the lakes. All three of the lakes have pegs constructed of wood and slabs and a real bonus is that weather permitting you can drive and park behind your chosen peg! Just be aware that in wet conditions that isnt allowed to protect the beautiful natural environment you are fishing in.

Dragonfly

This is the first lake on entering the fishery. Full of large hard fighting carp and a mix of Mirror, commons, fully scaled Mirrors and Linears, the fish are fantastic colours and condition. The average size is around 8 pounds with doubles commonplace. If you catch 12 or 13 of the fish on Dragonfly then you will be close to 100lbs of fish!!There are plenty of quality silvers too along with big perch and tench but these often get pushed out of the way in the summer months by the big carp. Biggest carp last year 24 pounds , match record on this lake well over 300 pounds with 200 pounds a regular occurrence in the summer months. If you want to do “The Ton” this is the place to have your match. Fish corn , meat, maggot, worm,  paste ( made form our pellets ) soft and banded pellet and feed our fishery pellets for best results. Fish love the margins on afternoons … Pellet feeder , bomb and pellet waggler all work well.

We have an open every Friday on this lake draw 12pm fish 1-6pm. Come along and give it a try..always a friendly bunch of lads on the open willing to share their knowledge..call the fishery to book in. Some of our Saturday Opens are also on on Dragonfly dependent on club bookings..details on this site.

Sandpipers

The largest of our lakes with 2 islands. Again a very pictureque setting and a favourite with a lots of anglers..those that havent fished Sandpipers are missing out on some great action. A large head of carp averaging around 4 pounds but with some very big lumps and doubles, largest fish last year was a mirror weighing just over 33 pounds. We have added another 1000 pounds of small mirrors this year which are feeding and growing like mad ! They will keep you busy all day. A very large head of silvers as well with some big roach and big perch up to 5 pounds turning up on occasions. Fish with a feeder , pellet waggler or pole for best results. Fish caster, maggot , soft and hard pellet along with Paste made from our pellets. Match record Dean Ziggy Lees 262lb from peg 30.

Whispers

The smallest of our lakes but very pretty and peaceful. Whispers has one island and is a really mixed bag. You never know what you are going to catch next! The carp in this pool are in pristine condition and go up to around 20 pounds but on average around 5 – 6 pounds. There is a good head of established tench up to the 3 pounds mark and in 2015 we have introduced a further 300 pounds of smaller tench which are already being caught. Along with that the pool is well stocked with loads of silvers including some very big perch , bream , roach and the odd chub. Match record 188 pounds. Pole works well with all the usual baits and again down the margins later on in the day. Try the maggot or caster for a really mixed bag of fish with bites all day long. The pellet feeder and waggler work well on this pool.
