The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is just a short drive away. This is of New Zealand’s best one day hikes. We have on-site shuttles to transfer you to and from the Crossing with several pick up and drop off times.

Whakapapa Holiday Park is popular with skiers, snowboarders and snow players with the ski field is just 6kms up the road.
At the ski field you can take the gondola to New Zealand’s highest cafe and enjoy some panoramic views with your coffee. Or hike up Skyline track with more amazing views.
If snow sports or hiking is not your thing then mountain biking, river rafting, trout fishing, canoeing and other outdoor activities are all just a short drive away.
