The Seery family would like to welcome you to our ‘eco campsite’ at Westdown Farm, and we hope you love it here as much as we do!
We live in Devon on 92 acres of beautiful farmland that is rich in wildflower and wildlife – including 32 different species of butterfly, and home to our herd of pedigree British Longhorn cattle on the edge of Dartmoor. A perfect environment for solo travellers, or families.
We opened up our ‘certified location’ campsite to the public in June 2016 and we haven’t looked back. We aim to be as dedicated as possible in our way of living to recycle/separate everything we can so it doesn’t just end up on a landfill.
We kindly ask you that when you come and stay with us, you also join in with our dedication of trying to improve our planet we live on.
Like our farming, we aim to be as organic and green as possible, which is why we have recycling points for your glass, clean paper waste and cardboard. Even a tub for your food waste.
As you take a stroll around our farm enjoying the wonderful sight of wildlife, lush grass meadows and wonderful views of Dartmoor, you will notice that our love of recycling doesn’t just stop at rubbish recycling! We make furniture and composting loo’s from used pallets and old bits of timber wherever possible.
We welcome your well behaved furry pets to join you in your experience, so bring them along with you!
Campfires are very welcome, but in the main campsite they must be situated in fire bins raised off the grass (you can hire the bins from us if you need to) only in the ‘Wild Camping’ areas are they allowed directly on the ground.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
We hope to see you soon.
Stacey S and the Westdown team.
