Tim Pond Wilderness Camps is the oldest continuously operated Sporting Camp in America.
A sporting camp is an establishment that provides lodging, meals and good fellowship for fishermen, hunters, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts. Sporting camps usually consist of private individual cabins accompanied by a main dining lodge.
Tim Pond Camps is an all-inclusive wilderness resort that offers Fly Fishing for Native Brook Trout and Hunting for Upland Birds. All situated in a Wilderness resort setting with full amenities.
Tim Pond Camps are located in the Western Mountains of Maine, a scenic two and a half hour drive from either Portland or Bangor, near the Rangeley Lakes region and just north of the Sugarloaf Golf Course. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway or a relaxing week long vacation.
Our fishing season runs from Memorial Day Weekend in May to the end of September. Our bird hunting is the first three weeks in October.
