Tibshelf Ponds are the home of the Tibshelf and Newton Angling Club. They are situated just off a track on Sunny Bank, Tibshelf at the start of the 5 Pits Trail on the site of the old Tibshelf Colliery. There are two ponds, a Day ticket Pond and a members only Pond. Both are well stocked with Carp,Crucian Carp, Bream, Roach,Rudd, Perch, Tench etc etc.
It is a very friendly Club and we welcome all Anglers, and especially cater for the Disabled, Female and Junior Anglers.
We are always ready to assist anyone new to the sport, and any of the experienced Bailiffs, and many of the members will set you on the right path to help you catch your first fish!
Most of the time we have spare items of tackle to loan without charge, to help you on your way.
