Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes and Pocahontas Resort is on a picturesque lake in the heart of Central Minnesota in Ottertail County near Perham.
Who wouldn’t want to get out and enjoy the fresh breeze, grilling outside, eating at a picnic table, playing in the sand on the beach, swimming, shooting hoops, playing on our swing set, a game of horseshoes, maybe sun tanning on the beach or floating on the lake with an inner tube? What else can you do? How about fishing? A canoe ride, or a short ride on a pedal boat? How about a campfire and smores?
Dead Lake has many species of fish. The lake has 7,901 acres of water, and 30 miles of shoreline with many islands and bays for fishing and watersports. Maximum depth is 65 feet. Our guests have caught northern, walleye, largemouth bass, sunfish, bluegills, crappie, and perch.
