OAKSIDE FISHERY
In the summer of 1987, Brian and Sandra leant over the double wooden gates to view the 27 acre neglected famland, just outside of Summercourt near Newquay. Their vision was to create a coarse fishery, nestled into the gentle rolling hills, surrounded by woodlands and with natural wildlife habitats for both fauna and flora. Almost twenty five years on, their vision has come to fruition with a now mature, well stocked coarse fishing lake set in a stunning location. The lake can boast to holding carp many over the 20lb mark and with the current lake record set in excess of 30lb. With some Tench of 10lb, good size Bream and Roach so that a true mixed coarse fishing lake has been achieved. The jewel in the crown is the lake itself. Right from the start, Brian designed the lake with four islands, varied depths and underwater shelves, thus making for a better fishing experience for the angler. All the swims have good access and can cater easily for the disabled and able-bodied alike. Sandra named the fishery Oakside, as all the way down the boundary were mature oaks standing proud above all else. Sandra then went to town on the design of the now established Oakside Fishery logo and this is still in use to this day.

With well spaced maintained swims, islands to target, secluded lily covered coves, overhanging trees and mature reed beds, you will love the feel of the lake. Plenty of bivvy space for the overnight carp enthuisiast and fresh free-range hen, bantam or duck eggs available from Sandra, the perfect compliment to your bacon for breakfast. Brian has day tickets, night tickets and season tickets all available at very reasonable prices.
COARSE FISHING
Exciting match/coarse fishing is to be had at Oakside. Hosts of Bream, Crucian, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Skimmers are in abundance, healthy stock giving a good account of themselves if you want to land them. Carp are often enticed by the same bait, so be prepared as you will have a good fight on your hands.
