Musky Tale Resort is located on the West Fork of the Chippewa Flowage – A vast expanse of fishing water which covers an area of almost 18,000 acres, creating the most exciting combination of shoreline, quiet bays, islands and floating bogs. Musky Tale’s unique location also offers the opportunity to fish Hayward’s famous Chippewa Flowage or the Chippewa River. On years of late ice-out Musky Tale has become the place to be for Hayward Spring walleye fishing.
Deer, beaver, otter, raccoon, porcupine, snowshoe rabbit, ducks, heron, grouse and the bald eagle are common sights in our woods and waters. Also here, but not as easily seen, are black bear, fisher, coyotes and bobcats. Nearby, we have many miles of logging trails and streams for you to explore.
