Drifters Lodge is built in the heart of Cooper Landing, Alaska, right on the banks of the world-famous Kenai River. The small mountain town of Cooper Landing was initially settled as a frontier gold and trapping town. It has since transformed into one of the top destinations for fishing trips in Alaska. Surrounded by mountains and national forest land, our lodge is a place where you can escape your regular routine and experience all the fishing and outdoor adventures available on the Kenai Peninsula – Alaska’s Playground.

We are located in a central location that will become your home base to experience world-class fishing up and down all 82 miles of the Kenai River and its tributaries, as well as the Kasilof River and local lakes. Our fishing tours will give you the best chance to catch all Alaska has to offer including trophy rainbow trout, king salmon, sockeye salmon, silver salmon, dolly varden, and arctic grayling.
The variety of guided fishing trips will amaze you. Runs of sockeye (red), coho (silver), and chinook (king) salmon arrive throughout the summer, and our rainbow trout are a magnificent prize to target all season long. The Kenai, Kasilof and Russian Rivers are renowned, but our lesser known streams and alpine lakes add remarkable depth to the fishing opportunities. You might take a float plane to a nearby alpine lake for arctic grayling, or hike into a small, crystal clear stream to pick out trout and dolly varden behind spawning salmon. No matter the time of year, there is something special to discover.

Our fishing packages are fully customizable to match your needs. We have three levels of packages: the All-Inclusive package takes care of it all, but our Regular and Premium options can be a great way to go if you don’t mind renting a car to get from place to place. You will get all of our most helpful extras no matter which fishing package you choose. Fish processing, packed lunches, gear, and fishing licenses are all standard inclusions. And in every package, the itinerary is built from scratch based on your wish list. Choose to upgrade to fly-in destinations, or take a breaks from fishing to hilke or raft.
