Headfen lakes is a 10 year old fishery which is situated in the Fenland countryside, just north of Little Downham, Near Ely in Cambridgeshire . This superb 10 acres complex has something to offer anglers of all abilities. If you are a seasoned Match Angler looking for big weights and top competition or purely a pleasure angler looking for a good days sport, your demands will be catered for on this custom built well stocked 3 lake venue.

Snake Lake is a 28 peg uniform snake shaped lake which is standard 13m wide, with an average depth of 4ft down the middle to 2ft in the margins. This purpose built water for the commercial match angling holds nothing but Carp from 1lb to 12lb with lots of F1’s too making it a perfect venue for the club and serious match angler’s who are looking for some serious sport on the pole. To make the frame on this well stocked venue you will require at least 80lb – 90lb in the warmer months, with the current lake record standing at over a superb 200lb.

Trev’s Lake is a 36 peg oval shaped lake with a large island, specifically designed for anglers who like to use conventional float and feeder tactics as well as the pole.

The stock in this lake is very versatile compared to Snake Lake, with Chub from 5lb, Bream from 6lb, Barbel from 8lb, Tench from 6lb PLUS F1’s, Roach, large Perch, Gudgeon, Crucians and not forgetting the big head of carp weighing up to 25lb.

Tosh’s Lake is a 13 peg water designed with the pleasure angler in mind. This is the smallest water on the complex and is stocked with Common, Mirror, and Ghost Carp which go to double figures up to 15lb plus Bream up to 6lb and ornamental fish. This is an ideal venue for small matches, available from October till April for up to 8 match anglers.
