From our location, you have easy access to both Minnesota and Canadian waters, all 65,000 miles of shoreline. Walleye, northern, crappie, bass, and musky await in abundance and is sure to test your angling skills. From June through October Musky is a popular trophy.
One of the many highlights of your summer vacation stay with us will be your noon shore lunch. Prepared expertly by your fishing guide, the shore lunch features fish from the morning’s catch as well as fried potatoes and beans all prepared over an open fire. After your fishing excursion, don’t worry about all of the fish you caught. Your guide will clean and package your fish for you while you rest and relax. In fact, it will be delivered right to your cabin.
In the wintertime we offer permanent heated ice house rentals with heated transportation on both the MN and the Ontario side, where you will surely catch your limit of monster crappies.
Flag Island Resort offers seventeen comfortable cabins, two of which are duplexes with the option of being conjoined, along with many other amenities. We offer standard lodging plans as well as the American Plan, which includes all of your meals.
In our historic lodge, you will find a full-service restaurant and bar. The restaurant is open from 7 am until 9 pm and open to guests and the public. In the bar you can order appetizers and fresh homemade pizzas until bar close, last call is at midnight. Although, if we are not busy we may close sooner. You will also find a tackle shop where you can purchase hot jigs, tackle, tools, toiletries you may have forgotten, apparel, etc…
