Cluster Leaf Bush Lodge is situated in the Waterberg area of the Limpopo Bushveld near Sterkrivier. It derives its name from the Silver Cluster-leaf Tree or ‘Vaalboom’ which is the predominant flora in the surrounding area and on the property.
The Lodge can be found on the D345 Sterkrivier/Doorndraai Dam road between the Entabeni Conservancy and the old Tin Myne road. Only two and a half hours drive from Johannesburg, the Lodge is becoming one of the preferred stop-overs for travellers commuting to and from Botswana, via the Groblersbrug, Zanzibar and Platjan border posts.
We have a variety of activities on offer, some of those being moderate and challenging mountain biking trails, Bass fishing, hiking trails, bush drives, bird watching and our favourite, bush braais down at the river side.
We also offer excursions to nearby places of interest, such as Wine Tasting, Elephant Back Safaris, a Big Cat Experience and Big Five game drives at Entabeni. Excursions can also be arranged to visit the Arend Dieperink Museum in Mokopane as well as the historical Makapansgat Caves which have been declared a World Heritage Site.
The well-known Wellington’s Dome, popular within the South African Rock Climbing fraternity, is just 45 minutes away and an easy drive when staying with us
Visits to the Kruger National Park and Mapangubwe National Park can also be arranged. View the activities page for more information.
We provide a shuttle service to and from all the Johannesburg, Pretoria and Polokwane International airports.
Your hosts, Sue & Basil, look forward to welcoming you to Cluster Leaf Bush Lodge. See you soon!
