Brick Farm Lakes is one of the leading trout fisheries in the country open to the general public all year round, pre-booking is not required. Our charming oak frame timber Lodge set next to Brick Lake provide self-serve tea and coffee making facilities, warm and dry shelter and clean toilets.

Brick Farm Lakes is located in open countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) near Herstmonceux in East Sussex. We have three lakes (soon to be four!) totalling about 4 acres all very well stocked regularly with rainbow, blue and brown trout. We have been told that we are the leaders in inexpensive stillwater fishing regularly stocking trout ranging from 2lb to over 10lb.
We have three lakes. Well Lake is the top lake, spring fed, deep and beautifully clear. This lake feeds into Stag Lake: clear all round, great views up the valley and nothing to catch your fly on whilst casting - ideal to practice on. Brick Lake, the larger bottom lake, is picturesque with lots of different options for approaching the water. All our lakes are well stocked and the current records stand at 20lbs (brown) and 18lbs 6ozs (rainbow). Our new and fourth lake Spring Lake is filling well and we hope to begin building the swims in the spring of 2020. Once the lake is full we will be announcing its opening.

There is a road to the Lodge with parking next to Brick Lake, Well Lake and a large area of overflow parking to the top of the hill beyond the Lodge..
We are open from 7.30am to approximately dusk seven days a week (please see the notice in the Lodge for the daily closing time).
We are very keen to encourage juniors into the sport. In support of this we allow juniors (16 and under) to fish on their Guardians ticket. In particular this allows parents to avoid the unnecessary expense of multiple tickets and encourages juniors who may struggle to catch their fish until more proficient.
