Bott’s Pond Fishery
The pool is formed into three bays. Top Bay is about 4 – 5 feet deep with silt bottom. Top Bay has eight fishing pegs, of which two are easy access. Bottom Bay is up to 12 feet deep with both silt and clay bottom. Bottom Bay has nine fishing pegs, of which three are easy access pegs. New Bay is up to 8 feet deep with clay bottom and has one standard fishing peg.
The pool holds a large head of roach, rudd, bream, tench and carp. Carp include: common, mirror, ghost, linear, fully scaled, and crucian.
Favourite baits are maggot, caster and worm for the silvers. With pellets and corn favoured by the Tench and Carp. Our sister company, Bott’s Pond Baits sells a wide range of fishing pellets,
Bott’s Pond has 18 pegs in total. There are some totally new pegs, whilst all the old pegs have been thoughtfully rebuilt, to prevent fishing over each other. There are several easy access fishing pegs available for the less mobile anglers. If you require access to one of these, please contact us prior to your visit, and we will endeavour to reserve one for you.
Bott’s Pond is a day ticket coarse and carp fishery for pleasure fishing. It is ideal for fishing with poles and rods (ledgers and floats). Match Bookings and Exclusive Pool Hire are available on a limited advanced booking basis.
