Birkwood Fisheries Wakefield

Birkwood Fisheries Wakefield

Birkwood Farm Fisheries
Birkwood Farm Fisheries was established in 1996. Originally a single lake run by Dick and Sandra it soon evolved into the complex it is today; 5 lakes with river and canal fishing. Supported by Chris and Sharon this is a family run business. At Birkwood we aim to offer anglers a great  fishing experience which is safe, clean, tidy and welcoming.

Birkwood is ideally situated in the rural urban fringe. Close to Leeds and Wakefield but also convenient for further places further away such as Huddersfield, Mirfield, York, Doncaster, Sheffield Indeed we are easily accessible from all parts of Yorkshire.

The complex currently has 5 lakes: Main Lake, Frog Hall Lake, Molly's Lake, Oscar’s Lake and Emily’s Lake. The total number of fishing stations is now in excess of 100. Individual Carp in the Main Lake and Frog Hall are getting up to almost 30lbs in size, and in Emily's, Oscar's and Molly's Lakes the biggest Carp are now in the region of 20lbs. We also have plenty of other species of fish in the lakes, including: Roach, Rudd, Tench, Perch, Bream. Recently we have stocked F1 Carp in both Emily's and Oscar's Lakes.

Whenever you visit Birkwood you are assured of a warm welcome and an enjoyable fishing experience. Fishing platforms are well spaced and at most times of the year cars can be parked behind pegs.  Alternatively there is plenty of hard car parking within a few yards of each lake.

Toilets are available across the lake site.
