ARCHIPELAGO LAKE
This tree lined lake is 8 acres in size and rectangular in shape, allowing all sides to be fished with ease.
Straight down the middle of the lake there is a row of tree clad islands giving all anglers several features to fish to, including bars, island edges, narrow gullies and over hanging trees. The islands also provide a good degree of privacy from the other anglers on the opposite bank.
Depths range from 2.5 to 8 feet, we have also created several bars and channels at the shallower end of the lake.
The water is snag and weed free and contains NO nuisance fish with the exception of a few crayfish.
The South side of the lake is bordered by our own dense mature wood. Providing shade during the hottest part of the day, ideal for those who don't like too much heat and sun.
The lake has twelve purpose built level and safe swims.
ALL of which should accommodate the largest of bivvies!
Swims 1 to 5 are eminently suitable for sun lovers. The shallows at the western end of the lake can be very productive as the water warms up. During certain times of the year there can be some weed growth.
Swims 6 & 7, or 9 & 10, would be ideal for use by any angler who is overseeing a youngster or novice who prefers to fish on a separate swim.
Swims 9, 10, 11 & 12 are under the canopy of the edge of the wood, and ideal for those who prefer to keep cool in the Summer.
THE BLUE LAGOON
This lake was drained dry in late 2015 and re-stocked with some of the originals and some new stock fish were added late 2016 with an average weight of 35lb. Depths range from 2.5 to 7 feet. The lake has a clay bottom with a couple of silt areas and a couple of weed patches. Three purpose built swims have been added. It also has a cabin on the western end with hot/cold running water and basic cooking facilities - please see facilities page for full info.
We consider this lake to be a runs water with the stock consisting of around 200 carp up to 35lb. 75% of which are common carp, the rest Mirrors. There are also silver fish, perch, zander and one catfish of around 70lbs.
This is a great little lake for those wanting a bit of sport.
