Casper followed my guide for 5 days in what should turn out to be a difficult period due to difficult tides. Barbados has been covered in seaweed along its shore for some time. Even though it was slowly improving up to his visit, the primary location was still suffering (now all is crystal clear as usual). We discussed alot, whether it was worth to fish it or we had to come up with alternatives.
We decided to have him fish an alternative location. I believe that Casper was happy with that decision. I put him on a reef patted beach stretch. After a blanked first morning, I encouraged him to keep pushing and on the second morning he got some nice bones up to 7 lb.
The fishing at the beach is slightly different, than fishing the flat/reef which is at the primary location, but with a bit of adjusting, Casper quickly found the approach and had great success.
It just shows, that fishing is unpredictable, but also that Barbados always delivers, if you are persistent!
It was a pleasure to help out Casper.
He for sure brought home some good memories from Barbados.
